A sally and tail-end are displayed in the ringing chamber at Bromham, Wilts=
. Four 'spare' Bromham ropes were on loan to Compton Bassett church at the=
time when the church door was smashed down and the ropes cut off, just abo=
ve the sally [about seven years ago]. The damaged ropes were produced in co=
urt and the person who did this act of vandalism was bound over to keep the=
peace. This Bromham rope was one of the victims.
