[Bell Historians] Pune, India

Darrington (West Yorks) Taylor installation of 1895/1896 has straight slider rails with a jockey slider.  Need a bit of lubrication every so often.  When I first went there they had been painted all over which made them stick!!  I stripped them and used black lead.

Truckle sliders   Gillett's   Recently got rid of ours at Kineton!  effective but noisy and needed occasional lubrication.

The three photographs I have of the bells in the frame when in the Loughborough Bell Foundry in 1893 do not show any  Ellacombe hammers. The images showing the bells being 'clocked' supports this observation.

A news article about chiming the octave at the Church of the Holy Name has a photo of the bells.

One wonders whether there was ever an Ellacombe stand.
