Oliver,

I took a recording of each bell on a visit in 2015. If you email
david at thekloof.co.uk <mailto:david at thekloof.co.uk> or the Keltek Trust I
will send you a copy of the tonal analysis.

Subject: [Bell Historians] Harare (Salisbury) cathedral zimbabwe

I was wondering if anyone might know what exactly happened when the
cathedral was taken over by a excommunicated bishop in 2008?, according to
the obituary for teddy kabwemba (then tower captain) the local band where
holding their AGM when this occurred and apparently they where abruptly
ordered out of the tower. Once they had left he apparently tried to retrive
his coat (which was still in the ringing chamber) but was "beaten" when he
tried to get back inside leaving him with serious heart complications, it
would interesting to know why he was specifically targeted and why ringing
was banned for over 4 years. I was also wondering if there are any frame
plans, inscriptions or tuning figures for these bells as I don't think I
have found them elsewhere.

Many thanks

Oliver lee
