where approximates are shown was a key research activity for Dove and his=20

all recorded weights for a given bell, thereby making the status of each we=

crystal clear. But where there's only one version this can't be done. =

whether or not the bell is over a ton!) is more satisfactory than an arbitr=
ary=20
approximate weight (is it 71/4, 7 or 63/4?) and avoids the risk of pe=

re-submitting the exact weight that they've "newly" discovered.</FONT></DIV=
