<BR>1894 ? Bliss & Sharpe's Gloucestershire give plenty of details of=

<BR>Rudhall sixes preceeding this ring, and plenty of details until 1889,=

<BR>when the six existing bells were recast and two trebles added.=20
<BR>However, only five years later, this ring of eight was replaced by <B=

heavier ring which hangs in the church to this day. There seems <BR>to be=
no=20
information at all on this mystery ocatve of 1889, who cast <BR>them, who=
hung=20
them, or why they were replaced only five years later. <BR>The only=20
information is that given in the report of the dedication of <BR>the curr=
ent=20
bells in a local newspaper, which states that the 1889 <BR>ring had a tot=
al=20
weight of 52 cwt 3 qrs. <BR>I have enquired of Whitechapel, who have alwa=
ys=20
been very helpful in <BR>the past, if they had any details of bells scrap=
ped=20
when they <BR>installed a new ring in 1894. List members may be intereste=
