where the bells were to be heard quite distinctly in changes; they cam=

round as we got to the west end and were being perfectly (yes) struck in ro=

very slowly (14 sec/whole pull) and were heard in appropriate majesty.. Ano=
ther=20
real treat, on another occasion was to hear the front major eight in Eb bei=
ng=20
rung down; and on yet another to ring for a Judges' service on the back six=
.=20

tower of <BR>Liverpool Cathedral is a magnificent ring of bells, just wai=

to <BR>be put into a more sympathetic tower! I'm sure that, t=

quite a <BR>lot could be done to improve them, even in their present=20
