reporting of bell notes. Most of the bell-hanging trade use=20
<EM>International Pitch</EM> when quoting a note. Whitechapel sometimes quo=

other pitches but at least they state which pitch is used. I have also noti=

that at least one member of the trade quotes the tenor nominal frequency=20
when they provide bell details to the church.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>As a matter of course I now forward detail=
s of the=20
tenor Nominal frequency and note (International Pitch) to John Baldwin. Alt=
hough=20
these details do not yet appear in the on-line Dove, at least it is a start=
to=20
more accurate reporting of the tenor key-note. It is surprising how many ke=
y=20
notes listed in Dove have turned out to be incorrect.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>To join the bell weights debate, in 1995 w=
e had the=20
bells at St Michael with St Paul, Bath re-tuned and they are a conside=

improvement on what they were. We were supplied with a list of weights by t=

main contractor and they were different to those measured by=20
