The former after lyi= ng in a field for some years were bought - so it is alleged - for Beamish (= is this true: what is the evidence?). The Stainland bells so graphically de= scribed some years previously by Denis Greenwood, also in the RW, were even= tually moved from the tower and a chime of new or nearly new bells by JT wa= s installed. The Rector wrote to me "The steel bells now adorn a local deer= park". That was 25 years ago - have they now rusted away?
