Christ Church is the obvious one in the middle of the town so it would be t=
he one that you saw. Not sure what happened to the bells, but I don't think=
that there is anything at all up there now.
They now belong to Beamish industrial museum in County Durham. I don't beli=
eve they are on display - last I heard they were still in storage.
