I would gue= ss that it probably doesn't do anything to prevent the clapper bush wearing= out due to the extra shock, as it acts more like a percussion sledgehammer= knocking away on the tower through the frame each time the bell strikes, a= nd the more play (wear) in the clapper bush the more effective it would be = at doing so. I will have to point the lack of washers out to the steeplekeeper. I'm sure similar washers can be purchased from other, non-bell=20 industry, suppliers - I'm not aware that WBF manufacture the flat=20 washers themselves (they certainly make the tappered ones). I know I'll be accused of being biased, etc= , but=20 I would have said

I'm sure similar washers can be purchase= d=20 from other, non-bell
