One particular website suggested that the regal Christie had been very
poorly treated when still in situ, it has been so poorly stored since,
that it is unlikely that the organ will ever be heard again. Organs
are somewhat more delicate than bells though....
If the Marble Arch organ does prove to be in a condition rendering it beyon=
d repair, I wonder whether the bells could be bought - a project for Keltek=
, perhaps. If there is any chance of the organ ever being installed anywher=
e the bells should of course stay with it, but if not they could no doubt b=
e put to good use elsewhere.
