Have a feeling the last major work there was by Mears in 1915 when several =
of the bells were recast, but don;'t know for sure whether or not anything =
was done subsequently. CD probably knows, as he's working very hard on Wilt=
shire at present.
I've certainly heard the tale about the non-recasting of the Imber bells fo=
r Edington many times.
