I was there 2 years ago, but could not get up the tower. The rope guides ar=
e still in place, and the frame I am told. I am sure Neil can shed some lig=
ht on this. They were rehung, not too long before they were removed, and ha=
d at least one peal rung on them.
[Does anybody know who carried out the rehanging, and exactly what it entai=
led?
I understand that Imber is usually open during parts of August each year, a=
nd I am currently attempting to find out when it will be open this year. I =
am also trying to find out who I need to contact to arrange access to the t=
ower. If I succeed in getting permission to look inside the tower, would an=
ybody else be interested in coming along?]
