They have asked if I know of any collectors around Warwickshire. The only ones I can think of are Gordon Lane with his large amount of handbells he uses for tune ringing and the Taylor museum, which is in the next county. I suspect this might possibly be for the slot in each show that they now have for someone to show off their collection of emphemera. Does anyone have any suggestions as to who might be an appropriate contact? Are you sure that when they refer to Bell Collectors they are talking about bells as we know them? In my experience the term refers to people who collect all sorts of bells; china, glass, brass, wood, crinolined ladies, dogs with nodding heads and so on. I'm a member of the American Bell Association and the range of "bells" collected by their members is vast. If this is what they are after, there is a "chapter" of the ABA in this country, and I can supply this group with details if required!
