Here are brief details in case they are of interest to anyone Sottanstall manuscripts re bellringing 1867-1902, with original mss. of "El= ements of Campanologia ..." parts 2 and 3 1871 (in Sowerby parish records a= t West Yorkshire Archives, Wakefield, ref: D138)" I think there might be a discrepancy here. My understanding is that Sottans= tall wrote two volumes, one a theory book and one of treble bob composition= s. The compositions were published, but the theory not - or at least not in= full. The single copy of the theory books belongs to YACR and resides in Y= ork Minster library. It is partly hand-written and partly printed, which su= ggests that some sections at least might have been published as pamphlets. = The book is in a very poor condition - I've seen it a number of times.
