The redundant St John's church in York (last used as York Arts Centre, then=
virtually derelict for several years) has now been fully restored and conv=
erted into a bar and restaurant. The bells remain, and the bar area in the =
base of the tower has been specifically designed so that it will still be p=
ossible to ring them.
