<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The authoritative reply (following my suggestion on
this list) is that the first ring cast and hung after the Second World War
was the excellent Mears & Stainbank 8, tenor 8-1-12 in A, for Emmanuel
Church, Everton and now at Christ Church Bootle. The bells were cast and
installed at Everton in 1945.</FONT></DIV>
