in Sharpe who mentions six bells made in Coventry in 1887, obtained by Douai
Abbey at Woolhampton from Douai (France) in 1903 and bought by the Earley
vicar in 1919.</FONT></DIV>

Brighton chime - that's the date of the church. The tower was added in 1881,
which is more likely although still early (except that Harrington evidently had
Brighton connections in the 1870s and 1880s so maybe they were one of his forst

of 8 tubular bells were sent to Earley, Nr Reading in 1938. no weights but
only notes (No 8 being A442) There is, I believe another set where CJP has the

Brighton, The Annunciation date from 1864 and Frederick Sharpe records that
three tubes were recast by Gillett & Johnston at Oxford St. Barnabus in
1949, these are the earliest and latest I have in my records but for
most I have no recorded dates.</FONT></DIV>
