The next facsimile book is "Stedman" (1903) by the Rev. Charles D. P.

Davies.   Publication should be in two weeks time as the book is

already being actively bound.<br>

It contains everything anyone has ever wanted to know about the method,

from doubles to cinques, including early peal details.  Its only

omission is the lack of information on the Bobs-Only peals. :-)<br>

<br>

This is one of the 'Jasper-Snowdon Change Ringing Series' and is being

published with the permission of Chris Groome, who holds the copyright.<br>

<br>

Although the original had a 'soft cover' binding, the facsimile will

have a hard cover with bright red cloth.   It has 268 pages plus 4

preliminary pages, a one page index and a one page advert for 'The Bell

News'.  <br>

<br>

Due to its size and thickness (roughly double the earlier facsimile

books), printing and postal costs are higher than the previous books

and so the price is GBP45.00 per copy. <br>

<br>

The next book is to be the Monk (5th) Edition of Campanalogia Improved

(1766).  As this is a smaller book, the cost will be back to GBP40.00. 

It is hoped to have this published before the CCCBR meeting in May.<br>
