<P>I have reprinted the "Simpson" papers (1895/6) "Why Bells Sound Out of Tune"
<BR>by Canon A.B. Simpson (28 pages) and E.A. Young's reaction to "Simpson"
<BR>tuning (1926/28) titled "English Bells and their Tuning: An Historical
<BR>Sketch" (32 pages). The latter also contains an appendix, "Bell Tones and
<BR>how to observe them". Both are in A5 size.<BR><BR>Bill Hibbert's review (and
commendation) is published in the March 14th <BR>edition of "The Ringing
World".<BR><BR>Both are priced at GBP3.50 each (inc p&p) or GBP6.00 the pair
and may be <BR>obtained on receipt of a cheque made payable to David Beacham,
