<DIV>Re the date of 1936 on the bell; if the Air Ministry were anything like the 

Navy Dept it is quite likely it was bought and either used elsewhere first or 

lay in some store depot somewhere. When I was concerned with Naval Store depots 

all sorts of things turned up from Diesel Engines for boats scrapped 20 years 

before to compasses dated 1910.</DIV>
