<P class=MsoNormal><SPAN lang=EN-GB>It is now well over a century since Revd.
Walter Consitt Boulter (1848-1912) published a list of the inscriptions on
bells in the area in the Yorkshire Archaeological Journals volumes 2 & 3.
That work indicated that the East Riding is a rich source of medieval
bells.<O></O></SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoNormal><SPAN lang=EN-GB>This work is the culmination of research
first started by the Author in the 1960’s examining all the bell
installations, and identifies the founders of the great majority of the bells
in the area. It also includes research on the bellfounders producing the
bells, particularly the pre- & post- reformation founders in
York<O></O></SPAN></P>
