years ago, the results of which appear in the appropriate Pastoral Measure
Report on the building, obtainable from the CBC.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The nave of the church was unroofed after WW2 and
the chancel arch infilled; more recently that arch has shown signs of subsidence
which has led to formal redundancy. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The three bells are the derelict back three of
five. The two trebles were stolen in the 1960's, and the recent publicity
enhances the risk of the others going the same way.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The two Butler bells of 1633 are tonally
poor but historically of considerable interest; the tenor an average bell by
Pack & Chapman 1775. The two stolen trebles were also by
Butler. </FONT></DIV>
