"wishbone" on the Great Bell, Victoria, of Leeds Town Hall (likewise also a
wheel with two parallel grooves). There are, or were, wishbone stays of metal on
the five bells at Weston Longville, Norfolk, by no means as lethal as they
sopund as the extreme "working" end was a wooden "wick" which would
break fairly readily if bumped. By Soames, of Marsham, I believe,
