<div>Dalton states that the Cattistock installation was by Stokes and the fittings at Lye are certainly by Stokes (the garter hole design is common to Stokes fittings, and was developed by/with Canon H T Ellacombe to reduce rope wear). I seem to think I have seen Stokes name somewhere on the installation at Lye, or maybe in some paperwork relating to the job. </div>
