a church guide to St Michael's Linlithgow of 1960s vintage which includes a
photo of the bells. This shows the two larger ones hung for ringing,
while the small one is arranged for swing chiming.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

in Church Bells of Linlithgowshire (1912) provides details. The
small one (18.75 in diameter), which is called Meg Duncan and is presumably
the successor of a sanctus, was recast in the Netherlands in 1718. The
inscription doesn't say which founder was responsible. Of the others 1
(30.75 ins) is by Pack & Chapman 1718 while 2 (34.8 ins) is
pre-Reformation, is by an unidentified founder.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
