A Yorkshire tower decided to do the same thing with the first peal.
22 years later we managed to persuade them to get their past and present ringers
who were interested in ringing a peal, together with some other ringers from the
area, to ring the first peal on the bells. Hope you don’t have to wait as
long!

Wow... that's stunning work.

We had two hatchments restored a few
years ago; they were in a very poor condition, badly discoloured and with
extensive water damage. The finished results are equally stunning and show that
even when badly damaged a skilled restorer can bring these types of artefacts
back for future generations to appreciate.

We have no peal boards at
Canewdon as there have never been any peals, or even any quarter peals. We are
just not good enough yet. We decided some time ago that it will be Canewdon
ringers that ring the first quarter and full peal here and that may take some
time yet.

Brian Meldon
