<DIV>Hi Chris</DIV>
<DIV>I have had a trawl through the Potts book and listed the clocks (not the
timepieces) which are in the area of the Ripon and Leeds Diocese. I
wondered if you could look through your list of bells from the Potts records and
add any missing detail. I have shaded the entries for which I have
information – usually the church clocks.</DIV>

<P>Am away and can't check notes (or view the photo) but sounds like Carr to me.
First, Carr supplied a lot of bells to Potts. Second, the heavy / numerous
moulding wires are a Carr feature. There may be info in the Potts book (Michael
Potts) or in the lists of bell details from the Potts records (at Smiths in
Derby) that Michael sent me. I'll check after the weekend<BR>What size is
it?<BR>CJP

<DIV>Dear All</DIV>
<DIV>Can anyone suggest a possible founder for the larger bell at Woodhouse,
Leeds?</DIV>

<DIV>I believe it was installed by Potts of Leeds when they installed the
clock in 1900. It has 6 canons – the set of four have angular corners
whereas the two single canons have their corners rounded off. The
moulding wires are shoulder 3, 2, inscription band, 2, waist, 4, soundbow,
2.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>It is normally about 10 feet off the floor but the tower is internally
scaffolded at present and I was able to get a bit closer! There is no
inscription whatsoever!</DIV>
