Don't know what happened there (I certianly didn't send a blank

When I looked at the enlarged photo, I thought 1841 (not 1847) -
just checked again, and still do. No, not on my lists - although I
do have a note of a smaller bell (3 cwt) supplied in 1840. The one
in the picture looks a fair bit bigger - and an indication of the
actual size would be helpful<br>
<br>
But this bell is far more famous than just an 1840s Mears bell. It
featured in Michael Uphill's <i>Tales from the London County Crypt</i>
(illustrated on p.61 of the book)<br>
