a local bell from Whitechapel who made it, they said they would charge £35

did not bother, but told them I would be available if they had any jobs

business of making bells, not researching their records, which I suspect are
not catalogued in any detailed way, so you can't really blame them for needing
to make a charge to cover their time costs. </div>
