I wasn't given any options, the pdf was silently opened by
Firefox, but I have it set up to do this by default in its
options.<br>
<br>
If anyone gets the option to either open or save, your choice
depends on whether you think the attachment i worth keeping a copy
of on your computer. If you're not sure, just open it, then if it
proves interesting, you can save it from within whatever program
opened it.<br>

attachments fall into the category of "uploaded
content" which is no longer allowed for Yahoo Groups.
Unfortunately, Yahoo has done a really sloppy job of
implementing this change, so that a distributed
message (such as Bryan's) contains links to an
attachment that was not saved on Yahoo's servers, and
which are therefore not valid.<br>

be possible to post an "attachment" somewhere else
(e.g., on Dropbox) and then include a link to that in
