I recognise the 1,000's of hours of volunteer effort by the
existing Dove team. Thank you to those people (who have always
provided excellent 'service' compared to many commercial
      organisations) & the current team.

I would not expect to ask an existing or future Dove volunteer
for details re say 10 or 100 churches - I would like direct access
to the log of historical records / changes to the database content
to see what changed & the source.

Chris states that clock detail should reside in the AHS database
      - I agree.

I expect 90% of those interested in bells are not interested in
clocks but some are (I assume we don't know how many?)

Could there be a link from the Dove entry to the AHS database
record for that building? So if I looked at Hilmarton church on
Dove I could click a link direct to the AHS record to read the
record re the clock etc in that church? Also from AHS to Dove?

I'm not clear re:

What is the scope of the new Dove listing bells in churches? Any
bell of any size whether mounted on a frame in a belfry or not?

Are tune playing drums etc listed by AHS? If not, is there a
record elsewhere? (Dove is not the 'home'.)

Ellacombes?

Is the intention that AHS database lists all clock hammers etc.
& nothing on Dove? So a bell frame having clock hammers bolted
to it would not list those hammers in the Dove records? (Makes
      sense to me.)

What happens where bells can be sounded by automated hammers
using more modern electrical/electronic control? Are those
hammers & mechanisms listed anywhere? I can't see a need for
Dove to list the details of how they are sounded, does AHS list
      them?

A church tower with 1or more bell used only for a clock - list in
      Dove? Which buildings?

A ring of 2 bells (Foxham) - list in Dove?

Where precise nominals are known a Bill Hibbert type summary
(similar to those used by Dickon) of how well they conform to a
mode of tuning? Can this be automated?
