He passed away in Hinton Martell in Dorset last week. He learnt to ring under Wilfrid Wilson at Christ the Saviour Ealing and rang there in a peal in 1974.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><a href="https://bb.ringingworld.co.uk/view.php?id=1412135">https://bb.ringingworld.co.uk/view.php?id=1412135</a> <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Chris was a leading member of the Turret Clock Group of the Antiquarian Horological Society and wrote a number of books on the subject as well as the definitive history of Big Ben.
