I was wondering if anybody might have any memories (or photos?) of the original ringing chamber at york minster before it was moved to it's current location?, according to what I have heard it seems to have been lowered in 1925 after the installation of the
current 12 but there is a bell news article from 1902 which seems to suggest that this was done long before this (it being described as a "great room of cold stone masonary"). </div>
