I rang there on 23rd April 1983. Shortly afterwards the bells were removed for the Bishopstoke project. The bell pits were deep in pigeon guano. Tower movement was considerable.

Just out of mere curiosity does anyone have any memories of ringing on the old warner eight at holy trinity Gosport?, from what I can ascertain the tower seems to have had a band of some description shortly after the bells where installed around 1897 but thanks to severe movement they don't seem to have been that popular and I can only assume that they may well have been unringable for long periods. I would also be interested to know when they where last rung as a notice in the ringing world from 1972 suggests that ringing would have to be limited but I know weather this was because of complaints from local residents
