Digital Cameras for recording

Has anyone used a digital camera for recording bells? I have a Fujifilm
FinePix6800Z which can record MPEGS and sound. I have never analysed the
quality of the audio recording though. I thought I might try it on South
Croydon this evening - we are going for the first peal on the 12. My camera
will be a bit of a contrast to the "Charlie Chance Reel to Reel"!
