Can't help with the key of Carbisdale, but I wrote to the SYHA there a coup=
le of weeks ago to enquire about the date and founder of the bells - no rep=
ly yet. If anyone knows, please enlighten us!

Roger Bailey confirms that Old Brentford's chime has been moved from=20
St George to St Paul - two clock bells staying put in St Pauls after=20
the installation of the chime, he thinks.

He asks if anyone knows the key of the tenor bell of the chime at=20
Carbisdale Castle. he could only test it against an old, and=20
probably out of tune piano! It suggested E, but he thinks D is more=20
likely
