Meneely and bell acoustics

Encouraged by correspondence on the list I took a look on the web and 
found the following speech by Clinton Meneely which I think is of 
interest to bell acousticians. I was rather taken by Munroe's 'hum a 
sixth below the tonic'. The speech foreshadows work on e.g. missing 
fundamentals which is still not complete today:
