This email was sent to the change ringers list.
Does anyone have the weights for these bells in a notebook in their inside
anorak pocket? Or would like to offer a good estimate? I'll see if I can
find out the founders in the mean time if nobody knows them.

Subject: [c-r] Guess the weight

Dear All,

I was taken to see the ring of three bells at Thursley, Surrey, last night,
and asked to estimate their weights. Their measurements are

Bell Diameter Height Note
------------------------------------
Treble: 1' 11" 1' 5" F#
Two: 2' 2" 1' 9" E flat
Tenor: 2' 4" 1' 10" D flat
------------------------------------

Are their details recorded anywhere? Would anyone hazard a guess at their
weights given this information?

The are hung on proper wheels, but without stays or sliders. They are chimed
regularly for services.

Regards,

Jonathan
