Thank you, George, for the details of Mawnan bells. Dunkins account looks p=
retty awful but the bells are being rung regularly and from my experience d=
on't go too badly. They were rung non-stop for 12hours on August 31st 2002 =
as a fund raising event for their new bells! Fortunately the Church is fair=
ly isolated and most of the sound floated out over the Helford river! I'm a=
fraid I have no idea as to where the old bells are heading, but I could mak=
e enquiries if you feel it might be of historical value?

Dunkins Church Bells of Cornwall reports:
1. : I . 1675 : P : P :
29 1/2" dia Crown broken off, and bell cramped up with iron.
2. : O : I N : T T : 1675 : P P O :
30 3/4: dia. A large piece broken off the rim.
3. MAY THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND FLOURISH A (Bell) R 1754 [Ornament]
32" dia.
The tenor was cast by Abel Rudhall of Gloucester, but I'm not sure about =
the other two, Penningtons?
If the undamaged bell is to be replaced, has it been put on the Keltek Li=
sts?

Hello everyone, I'm new to the net as you are aware but as you all cert=
ainly know your stuff (!!) perhaps someone out there has details of the cur=
rent three bells at Mawnan? I understand that these bells are to be sold sh=
ortly and be replaced with a new six to be supplied by Whitechapel. Any dat=
a would be gratefully received
Regards,
Henry Taysom
