Peal on dumb bells

I see on Campanophile that a peal was been rung on the ring of dumb
bells at Hopton Heath yesterdsy - presumably using a simulator. I wonder
what the CC's response to this will be - isn't there something in the
peal rules about peals having to be rung on bells? Flowerpots seem to
have got away with it recently, but will lumps of metal which make no
noise themselces and rely on simulated sound?
