This is a most interesting idea - unfortunately I don't have the 
technical knowledge myself to help.

However, I guess the external shape of a bell is less than half the 
story. Good example of this is Whitechapel bells with major third 
tierces, which looked from the outside to be the normal shape, but 
which had the bump on the inside of the waist.

And, as you pointed out to me the other day, one of the keys to 
satisfactory prime tuning was getting the shoulder thickness correct.
