[Bell Historians] Cambridge, Holy Trinity

Can confirm this. Four have gone! But five rope holes remain in the ceiling
under the tower when viewed from the church. I have never been up there, but
the arrangement must have been very tight as the tower is extremely slender,
topped with a nice spire.

The church is Evangelical, and is unlikely to be interested in putting bells
back.

I have a copy of Rob Walker's draft survey of Cambridgeshire bells. The
bells were a light ring of five of 1705 by Thomas Newman. Rob indicates that
only one bell remains, the other four having been sold to Gillett & Johnston
in 1956. The amazing four-tier frame remains!
