1906-7 is the generally acepted date - the tuning books (recording all part=
ials) start with the clock chime for Elstree School (Herts) cast in Dec.190=
6 / Feb.1907. These replaced a set supplied in the previous year!!! I recal=
l that Geoff Armitage reckoned these (i.e. the second set) were cited as Gi=
llett's first true-harmonic bells in some well-known encyclopaedia=20

The 1906/7 bells were purchased by a private collector in 1971 after the sc=
hool was demolished, and still survive - though never hung as a mini-ring a=
s originally envisaged
