The weight of a tenor or any other bell will depend on the weighing machine
used for that particular bell. The only true way is for every bell to be
taken down and weighed on the same machine, which must have been checked by
the weights and measures authority and stamped by Customs. You would not
dream of drinking a 'pint' of beer from an unstamped glass as you could not
be sure that the glass being used actually contains a pint.
