The argument only works the other way round i.e. cwt rings are generally
poor. I know someone will leap to the defence of A N Tower.

You would have a bit of a shock at Houghton Conquest (Bedfordshire) - 12-1-2
but cast and hung in 1842 - now I think officially decreed unringable!
