Full details of the Taylor ten at St Woolos can be found in my file on the
Church Bells of the Monmouth Diocese, which can be found in the articles
section of Bell Historians, or follow the link from ringing.info.

Subject: [Bell Historians] Pontefract

There was a Ringing World article which gave the weights of the original ten
at St Woolos (Taylor 1913) - G&J recast the front three when they made them
into twelve - because they were too small. I noted, at the time, that the
trebles at St Giles Pontefract (Taylor 1920) were, proportionally, even
lighter than the front bells at St Woolos. And they have button tops so a
good few pounds can be subtracted to give the weight of the actual bell.
The treble is 3-0-26 with its button top.

The chiming treble at Hunslet (Taylor 1939) is the same note and weighs in
at 3-1-2. This seems at odds with recent discussion about the lightness of
bells hung for chiming!
