I think there might be an L&J eight in West Yorkshire, over Wakefield way
- can anyone confirm this?

I used to get excellent air-dried (kiln tried tends to be brittle) ash
from a timber yard in Wellington, Somerset, for about £8 per stay, about
three years ago.
Even if you buy them from the bellfounders it isn't anywhere near as much
as £60 - more like £30, from Taylor's
