The clapper from this bell is now in the 11th at St Mary le Bow. the
original Bow WI clapper was finally beyond repair a few years ago. The
shank of the Eastbourne clapper has a much smaller circumference than
modernish Whitechapel WIs. 

What's the informed view on the shape and distribution of metal in
clappers. I think that the shape of SGs is as much too blame for their
poor acoustic performance as SG iron is.
