I would have thought that the handbells bells were almost certainly from
the church of St Nicholas, Leeds, Kent and should never have been sold. It
would be interesting to know who was responsible for this. In the 18 and
19th centuries the Leeds ringers were of course very active. I think this
needs investigating.
